Re: Shapeoko 2 and DW660

Hello, I would be curious to see a picture as well... I am about to Mill out my Dust Shoe and mount it as well and would like to see the Sagging that you mention.
I am running the ShapeOko 1 Modified... but its pretty much like the ShapeOko 2.
Have you made any other modifications?

Re: ShapeOko #1508 Build Log

Well, we finally have some success!!! What did I do? 1) reversed the Z Motor Polarity as it was not clear to me( before that is ) but clear when I tested the Job Run on (http://openscam.com/) which is a really amazing tool. You can run the job and find out how long its going to take and see all the ...

photo 1.JPG At this point, I might just try again this morning... but I am really want something visual or feedback wise via the GUI. I need to know where it is and if in fact it is there... Coordinates, etc...and visually see on the UI if the machine is doing what it is suppose to be doing. I will...

Re: ShapeOko #1508 Build Log

Its with great disappointment that I bring you my first failed attempt at milling something. After spending so much time setting up, testing, fastening down the material, checking clearance, measuring distance, etc... I find myself holding the vacuum with one hand and working some magical trick by t...

Re: ShapeOko #1508 Build Log

Well, its been a week or so and I never did get to running that job. I feel horrible as I always say with the best intentions that I am going to try/do something but it doesn't pan out. Now, I finally had a moment today to try to get this going again and its never an easy task getting the time and o...

Re: TonyB's Shapeoko Build.

Great write up. I agree. Wouldn't it be nice to hit start. I have the very similar build as you. Just got the shapeoko hello world finally wetten nicely. My problem is that I am using tinyG. So I had to use coolterm and file upload to run a job. I just want a nice ui to use. Looking for LinuxCNC/Mac...

Re: Lee's Shapeoko 2

I'm potentially interested as well. I currently have some drv8825 boards on order, along with the buildlog stepper shield as a stop-gap. I'm ultimately aiming for something less grbl, more LinuxCNC. (Although my ideal setup would be a beaglebone + http://elinux.org/Beagleboard:BeBoPr_Cape ) Very in...
