Re: TB6560 Just Quit (I Think?)

It was the power supply (maybe). I hooked up the controller to a 12v atx power supply, and it worked, so I'm (tentatively) concluding that the PS blew up (first). However, in the course of testing the board, I managed to release the magic smoke. Which leads us to the age old question: Which came fir...

TB6560 Just Quit (I Think?)

I set up a stock Shapeoko + dual y upgrade (both motors running off of the same driver). I'm using a red 3 axis TB6560 board and powering it with a cheap 24v 5A caged power supply. I've been jogging it using Mach 3, did the hello world test, practiced cutting some cork, and it's been fine for the la...

Wiki Discrepancy

I noticed that in Step 15 of Assembly, the wiki states that 2x microstepping on the Z axis translates to 320 steps/mm. However, in Run Your First Job and Run Your Second Job, it's stated that 320 steps/mm is for full stepping. So, uh... which is it?

I've got a 1976 Williams Toledo and a 1986 Williams Road Kings. Which coil is missing on your 4 Roses?

Mastercraft Spinsaw

Heads up for the Canucks in the forums. Canadian Tire has the Mastercraft Spinsaw Kit for $50 (reg. $139.99) until April 4, 2013. This is essentially a clone of the Dewalt DW660. Approximately the same dimensinos and weight, fairly similar specs: 5.8A; 10000-30000 RPM; 1/4", 5/32", 1/8" collets. Als...
