Re: Anyone using a 3D mouse?

I have not found them to be particularly worthwhile. Most people who I have talked to who have one consider them novelties, or useful in only very complicated or very specific scenarios.

Thanks! It really makes it easy to use a variety of probes with minimal switch over time.
Byboth wrote:Nice kit. Any possibility of ahipping to norway, or should I just use a 3rd party carrier?
Just added Norway to my shipping options. 15.95 flat rate.

Re: Shapeoko 3 Probe & Limit Switch Kit

First batch of kits has been shipped!

Is there any interest in an Home/probe (no X- or y-) kit?

It would be just enough to start from a known position but won't do much good if you exceed your axis travel.

Re: Shapeoko 3 gcode from Fusion 360

I think G54 was correct. You can't alter G53 anyway, and it's not "sticky" like G54, G55 etc -- you have to repeat it for every line that needs to move in machine coordinates. Bugger. Well now I have to look real closely. I always use G54 as my machine coord and G55 for work coord just because that...

Re: Shapeoko 3 gcode from Fusion 360

Are you using g54 as your working coordinate system? I set the G55 system as your WCS and leave G54 alone, the universal Gcode sender should always go to the XYZ0 for G54. Setting your G54 system to z=0 at your part surface can cause issues. Are you sure you don’t mean G53? I didn’t think G54 was a...

Re: S3 Electronics Enclosure

I've started selling them by popular request.

Also changed the wire routing holes to slits on the side of the case.

Re: SO3 Machining Aluminum

Won’t the deeper cut and greater tool engagement increase tooling life since it spreads the wear over a larger area, rather than concentrating it at the tip? In theory! If you take deeper cuts at the expense of less step over, you end up taking a proportionally greater number of cuts though, which ...

Shapeoko 3 Electronics Enclosure

I made a 3D Printed electronics enclosure for my machine so I can cut aluminum and other conductive materials. Small slits are provided for wire routing, as well as the standard cutouts for the USB and power connectors. I've added them to my webstore Case Small 3.jpg Case Small 2.jpg Case small 1.jpg

Re: Shapeoko 3 gcode from Fusion 360

Thanks to All, You guys are the best. I've been away from this for a while... day job and family interference. I'm downloading ugc sender now and will give that a try. Question... does ugc sender allow you to 'return to zero point' on command. the Carbide tool does not seem to have that option. Whi...

Re: Shapeoko 3 gcode from Fusion 360

I'm using Fusion 360 almost exclusively for CAD and CAM. I'm also using UGS 1.8. So far, it's a great combo. I use mach 3 settings with G28 and use radius unchecked. If you switch to the grbl.cps firm the Mach 3 you don't have to change any dafaults when using UGS. Also, the canned drilling cycles ...
