Re: S3 stops mid-job

Not sure if you meant to respond to me, but I linked the cable I used in the previous post, and plugged it into the 1x6 pin connector in the bottom middle seen here:

Re: Losing Connection in Middle of Project

461oceanblvd Thanks first , You can send images to understand what you do !. J Sure. I bought the cord I linked to above, and plugged it into this 6-pin connector seen in this photo (bottom middle). Hope this helps! The job finished after 59 minutes without error. http://i.imgur.com/6vMcOx5.jpg

Re: S3 stops mid-job

Just x-posted this over on the Discussion forum thread: Hey guys. So, as I posted I have had the same issue as everyone else. So I decided I would see what I could do to eliminate the USB connection entirely, via bluetooth adapter or a couple of XBee units (per Jorge at Carbide's suggestion). As a f...

Hey guys. So, as I posted I have had the same issue as everyone else. So I decided I would see what I could do to eliminate the USB connection entirely, via bluetooth adapter or a couple of XBee units (per Jorge at Carbide's suggestion). As a first step, I bought an FTDI serial - USB adapter, just t...

Re: Losing Connection in Middle of Project

A lot of people seem to be having luck with the USB Isolator (which is good news). I, however, am not one of those people. I ordered one on amazon, it came yesterday. I plugged it in, started the cut file, and within 30 seconds, it was doing the same thing. My SO3 CAN run the file (or at least the 2...

Re: Machine Keeps Freezing Randomly

Have you heard back from Carbide about this? So I have been trying to run a file (12x12- 1/2" cut depth) and running into the same exact issue. Previously I had some 'sporadic' failures, but this is failing 100% of the time, whether I create and send with Carbide Create/Motion or UGS and makercam. I...

Re: Can someone help me figure out what went wrong?

You guys hit the nail on the head. Thank you so much. the set screws loosened on the x-axis and when I bumped it, made it worse. I tightened it up, but I'll have to file a flat spot, as suggested. Just bought the limit switch kit, so when I do those up, I'll take it apart and fix it.

Thanks again!

Can someone help me figure out what went wrong?

Hi guys. So I'm working on some christmas gifts for the niece, and everything is going smoothly for about 6 cuts until now. It cut 1 of 2 elephants flawlessly (same gcode file), and began shifting with each new layer to the right about ~1/8". I stopped it, thinking I jerked something around, and sta...
