Re: Cool Windows Tablet with possibilities

I got one of those 130 acer tablets during the black Friday sale its pretty good. I like it because it came with windows 10 and a keyboard that makes it like a laptop. Runs my laser and SO3 software just fine.

I was thinking about ordering the Roland cutter to use on my big gantry router. Thought about that but i think i am just going...

Re: Cheap Chinese Lasers (CCL)

second more courageous bit was cutting a hole that allows larger stock to be cut. Nice! I too will cut off the vent but the hole in the side of the machine..... that one I am going to pass on. My plan has always been to play with this machine then buy a bigger one. But these hobbies just keep multi...

Re: Cheap Chinese Lasers (CCL)

What fans are folks using for exhaust? I was stupid and threw away the one that came with it because it looked shady. I bought a 6 inch inline one piped it all up and it doesn't move enough air kinda works but i want something more hard core. For testing and light engraving it was fine but cuts in w...

how long have you had the smaller one? What upgrades have you made?
About a month now upgrades:

Air assist nozzle, new optics, air pump, honey comb bed, water temp sensor, flow sensor (not installed), parts to make a z table (re-thinking that now as i could just buy an adjustable nozzle).

Re: Cheap Chinese Lasers (CCL)

Go with the bigger one! I like the little one but i am already thinking about cutting the sides out to get more space plus i have spent about 200 extra on parts that come with the bigger unit. So if i add a dsp i'll be knocking in 1500...
