Heeks CNC .xml

Has anyone else had problems opening the .xml output from Heeks?

I can't seem to get openscam & Grbl controller to open the files.

I click the "GO" button (post process) and then "Save nc file"
What am I doing wrong?

How about something like this:

It's not exactly home made- just re-purposed a bit. :D

Re: sound enclosure /lights/vacuum and dremel control

Nice! Pretty much self-contained and portable. I know someone who did something similar with a rockcliff machine and used it to make custom plaques, clocks, key fobs, etc. at sci-fi cons and craft shows.

Yes!
Except when it's your last piece of aluminum and the job's paid for and you don't have the cash to buy more.

Re: Post Processing Projects

I set my tabs to .15 height and use Harbor Freight micro flush cutter to snip the tabs. Still needs a little filing after, but cuts pretty close to the edge.

Re: Appreciation Plaque

Very cool! I like the edges.
What's your software chain? Are you using the inkscape to makercam to grbl controller chain?

What size/type bit did you use?
