Re: Problems with GRBL gcode interpretation

Try removing the leading zero from your code (i.e. change G01 -> G1) and see if this makes any difference.

In one recent cut, I noticed that G01 was being interpreted as G0. THis was using GRBL 0.8c & UGCS 1.06

Re: Question about GRBL 0.9G SO2 defaults

You can download a copy of GRBL 0.9g with SO2 defaults already set.

The link is towards the bottom of the grbl page on Github.

Re: Windows7 or not?

I actually use Linux CNC to run Universal GCode Sender (UGC) There is a reason for this madness, I had an ancient laptop with a real parallel port that I could dedicate to my Shapeoko and I wanted to preserve the options of running Linux CNC or Mach 3, so I dual booted it. Exploring Linux CNC ...

Re: Question about GRBL 0.9G SO2 defaults

The 40.020 is just an example in the wiki. There's no reason for it to be anything other than 40.000 when you initially configure the machine. Once you've tensioned the belts and played with it a little, you can measure the actual travel and adjust the steps-per-mm to calibrate it more accurately. ...

If you use the speed controller from Inventables (or the identical part from eBay from China), it already has isolation on the PWM input.
Yippee! looks like an easy upgrade then.

Re: Ha anyone tried the Variable Spindle PWM in GRBL 0.9?

BTW, you'll to compile a version your own, make sure you enable the option. I've also configures the top rpm for the spindle somewhere, this enables the grbl to calculate the right voltage for each spees. Thanks, I was wondering about that, as I couldn't see any spindle rpm mapping in the GRBL conf...

Ha anyone tried the Variable Spindle PWM in GRBL 0.9?

Hi, has anyone tried the variable spindle pwm in GRBL 0.9? https://github.com/grbl/grbl/wiki/Connecting-Grbl I'd really like to be able to control my quiet cut spindle using software, with the potentiometer, I'm just guessing at the spindle rpm Aside from being aware of the new pinout are there any ...

Question about GRBL 0.9G SO2 defaults

Hi All, I just downloaded and flashed the latest 0.9 GRBL, using the default SO2 parameters. http://bit.ly/1kOAzig Wow! Its just like some pressed the nitro switch, tho I must admit that I chickened out at the 5000 mm/min x & y rapids and dialed them back a bit. One thing that I noticed about the de...

Re: best rigidity mods for SO2?

Whats the best way of bolting the x-axis together? Also are there any bolting locations on the x-axis that gets you the most rigidity for the hole? :)
