This may be a newbie suggestion, but I was thinking about using one of those plastic cutting boards

A cutting board would be a great 'waste board' for your machine!

The technical name of the material is HDPE. It's similar to UHMW or even Delrin. Very machinable too. So if you find some cheap boards, pickup a few extra to make parts with!

Or, grab your wife's and engrave something like "[wife's name here]'s Kitchen" in the corner.

Be prepared for a lot of vacuuming and extracting tons of HDPE flakes out of your nose and hair :lol:
