Cant get nema 23 to fit
I just don't have enough clearance between the makerslide x axis rails and the top bolts of the nema 23 motors. and now that the y axis motors sit so low, I am really concerned the idler pulleys are not going to keep much tension.
Re: Cant get nema 23 to fit
Move the MakerSlide all the way to the back of that slot, and the bolt heads for the NEMA23 motors should just fit.
Or notch the rail, as at least one other Shapeoko 2 owner has done -- you don't need the last centimetre or so of V rail anyway, the V-wheels can't get there.

Interesting. Do you have a picture of where it's causing a problem?
I just mounted NEMA 23's on all axis and had no clearance issues.

I've had the same problem... I pushed it all the way back but it's still interfering a bit, and making it so I can't get the x-axis makerslide totally square. I will try notching the bottom end.

Inventables just posted this blog post today.
Near the end it speaks specifically about dealing with this issue. The article contains some pictures illustrating the installation process too.
