Could someone please help me to identify this?
I see the shopeoko is placed on a mat or something. It seems providing some friction as well as some vibration absorption. Does anyone know where i can buy that? Thanks

Non-slip, non-skid, anti-skid matting. It's usually made of either foam or rubber and can be found at most stores as drawer liners. You will also find some specialized listings with names such as router mat.

@ing Chao: You were really close!
it's actually this: http://www.harborfreight.com/18-inch-x- ... y-8iPldWSo
(note the mesh vs non-mesh).
I no longer use the non-slip liner directly under my machine. Instead, I have my machine on a piece of plywood, and I placed the non-slip between the plywood and the bench that it sits on. In my non-technical opinion (never measured anything) the non-slip reduces the transmission of vibration from the machine to the bench top, and because of that, it seems like it's less loud than without it.

I bought some of this at Sears. They sell it for lining the bottoms of tool boxes.

Sound wise... The nice thing about this stuff, is that because of it's squishy nature, it should also decouple the Shapeoko from the surface, therefore any sound emanated from the table (table becoming sound radiator) should be greatly reduced.

Another option is Sorbothane. You can get 4 half-spheres 3/4 inch in diameter on ebay for less than $10. They should fit nicely on the bottom of the 20mm extrusions.
