One more question. I'm wiring in reset, feed hold, cycle start buttons. I was going to use momentary buttons, but my local radioshack (going out of business) is sold out of the ones I need. Can I just just a standard SPST switch? I'd just flick it on then off to simulate a momentary switch (assuming I'm understanding the way they work)

I've got a power strip that I run my laptop, Makita and shapeoko off of. The power button is small and its mounted underneath my workbench. Could I open it up and wire in an e-stop switch to a more convenient location?

Not and still be Underwriter’s Laboratory listed.

There’s a pre-made tool for this which is linked on the Emergency Stop wiki page
Shapeoko 3XL #0006 w/ Carbide Compact Router w/0.125″ and ¼″ Carbide 3D precision collets
Nomad 883 Pro #596 (bamboo)
