Hopefully I'll have my new dust shield done this weekend, it actually is routed under the x with the vac hose on the back side of the gantry. If all goes as planned, I've have a shoe that maintains fixed distance to the work surface, that is adjustable, and removes clutter/weight from the front side to the back side of the x axsis

Would love to see your design. I'm trying to design a fixed height shoe right now with little luck.

Hello all; I've been making plans for my workshop. While fiddling with my shop vac. I was able to easily pull apart a 2 1/2" shop vac dust brush, recovering a plastic ring and brush assembly. The inner diameter of the ring is about 77 mm and loosely fits over the body of the Dewalt DWP611. I will wait on the S3 before I modify it further. It is a Sears p/n D9#16901. It's my first post, so I hope I've attached the image properly.

Well that science experiment didn't work! Can someone point me to the forum instructions for photo posting?

It's all there on your screen. Look for the "upload attachment" tab. Once uploaded, you can press "place inline". It helps everyone if you scale down the image first to no more than 800 pixels wide, but don't worry if you don't know how do that.

I think it's best to post images to the wiki, then one can select whatever pixel dimensions one wishes

Does any one know how to get in touch with the OP? I would love to get his files for the dust collector and hose brackets. Or does someone have something similar?

Tnx,
