Limit Switch Mounts for SO2

Post by Tronn » Sat Jan 10, 2015 2:28 am

Hey all, thought I'd share the design I came up with for limit switch mounting.

It's designed for both positive and negative limits on every axis. There are four mounting holes for the switch to allow the switch to be mounted in any orientation. The length of the piece is equal to the inside dimension of the makerslide rails, so that it doesn't rotate at all and the width of it tapers down near the M5 mounting screw so that it doesn't interfere with the V-wheels in the +Z limit orientation.

For my use, I tapped the holes with M3x.5 threads and then mounted the limit switches with 10mm long M3 Screws.
