As Will said, it is a vacuum system I cooked up. The hose is call Loc-Line. You can twist and position it any way you want and it stays put. Great stuff!secretspy711 wrote:where'd you get those fancy little blower nozzles?

Re: Under-Rail Lighting
These light strips are great, I have some on my 3D printer. There is a 3D printable makerslide mount designed for them, the design might need to be shortened for a shapeoko: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:106844

I can't use your under-rail lighting idea because of my dust guards and bellows, but I may do a ring of LED's on the spindle.

Re: Under-Rail Lighting
I saw this project pop up and went "D'oh!"
I've had some LED strips lying around from a past project that I couldn't figure out what to do with. The strip was a bit narrower than the OP's, so they slid right into the pocket in the MakerSlide. A little bit of wiring and, ta-da! All done. Granted, they are red instead of white, but since I had them lying around, I really can't complain

I put mine under because I didn't want contrast issues when taking pictures or video. That having been said your setup is the *breaks out metal voice* SATAN'S BADDEST MILL FROM HEEEEEEELL!!Schruminator wrote:I saw this project pop up and went "D'oh!"

Yep, I am jealous.

LOL, probably the strangest SO2 lighting so far. Just keep any Barbie dolls from dancing there!
Thanks for showing the mounting in the side slots. This is what I was hoping for. I will probably use a small strip of foam behind to keep it flush to outside.

Re: Under-Rail Lighting
My LED strips were a bit bent and crinkled from a year of being stored away, but I'd imagine new ones would slip in smooth without the need for foam. Of course, if you have foam lying around, it surely can't hurt
