Looks nice. It's good to see that they worked for you.

Hello! I think this my first post. Whooo.

I just made my Shapeoko 3, and I'd like to print out your mountain brackets for the drag chain. I did bracket 2 and the holes for the drag chain are a little off. Could I possibly get a copy of an openSCAD or some such format so that I can move things around? I'm using freeCAD, and it is really awkward to start from a stl file in there. Unless I'm simply ignorant, I'm new to the software.

Thanks! Drag chains are nifty.

Give me a list (in preferential order) of the formats you'd like the brackets in and I'll see what I can do. I am using SolidWorks 2014, so you can see what formats it can save in and see what matches up with freeCAD.

Sweet!

I think the most preferential format will be a STEP file. At least, I loaded a sample of that into freeCAD and it is editable. The formats that are common between the programs are as follows:

STEP
IGES
DXS
VRML

Thanks again,

Doxie

Hi, I have the same problem as doxie -- my Drag chain end bracket holes don't match. I use Autodesk Fusion 360 which takes STEP files. Can you make those available? Thanks!

Okay, I am lazy (but only with certain things) so here is a copy-pasta if the link I updated in my first post:

NEW EDIT as of 02OCT15: Here are the STL, IGS, STEP 203 and 3DXML files if anyone wants to take them out for a spin.

Thank you! The STEP files can be edited using Autodesk Fusion 360, so I can now customize it the Drag chain I bought.

Hi Doxie,

You had a PM question about AutoDesk Fusion 360 -- I couldn't reply because apparently I haven't earned that privilege on this forum yet  . Anyway, to delete a feature, click on it till it is highlighted in blue, right click and select delete.

Thanks! I had to figure out the entire sketch thing and now it is all good. I'm printing the parts out as I write. We live in a strange world.
