How to build a 4th axis with a collet holder

Post by GrblGru » Thu Jan 07, 2016 9:24 pm

In my opinion the 4th axis is the most important supplement for the ShapeOko. So I've tried to design an inexpensive DIY 4th axis. The goal was, to produce so much parts as possible on the ShapeOko.

See in the attached video how I've built my 4th axis.
Maybe it's too chunky, maybe it's ugly :), but it's only a prototype and I hope to add functions such as sharpening milling tools into my program GrblGru.

My workflow: Only a 2D-editor and GrblGru, that's it
