lowside42 designed and cut a set of mounts: http://www.shapeoko.com/forum/viewtopic ... 493#p18870 and promised to post design files, but hasn't yet.

It's a pretty straight-forward thing to work up mount files though, all one needs is:

- spacing on the holes one will be bolting to (to make little indentations for drilling)
- diameter / shape of the machine one will be mounting at a given height (this was one advantage of the v1 Z-axis --- one didn't have to get a specific spacing / pair of mount points)
- desired thickness of the mounts
- somewhere to add a bolt and nut to hold things together
- a distance for a gap to allow one to tighten things

Just a couple of shapes in InkScape and some unioning / subtracting.

Well ended up drawing up the stock mount, then widening it as needed to fit the HF cutout tool. For some added grip changed the angle of gripping surface to match the profile of the tool. Waiting on some longer bolts to test it out. Thanks!

Any idea when the acme z axis kit will be back in stock?

IC, are you selling following upgrades through shop.shapeoko.com? If would they be in stock near future?
  • ACME screw Z axis kit for Shapeoko 2
  • NEMA 23 mounting kit for Shapeoko 2 Z axis
One more question, are you using 1/8 bits in your DWP611?

Thank you

J.

I second these questions and would like to inquire about the availability of the dw660 mount and dust shoe as well.

Thank you,

Eric

Hi.
So I just moved from SoCal to Alabama. I haven't unpacked the garage yet (or half of the house).
As soon as I unpack the parts and shipping materials and hook up the printer I will put the items back in stock in the store.
It should be this week. It has already taken much longer than I thought it would to get set back up.

Thanks for your patience.

And yes I do use 1/8" bit in my DWP611. PreciseBits sells a precision collet set for it to allow the use of 1/8" bits.

I need a dust shoe bad. Can you tell me the Id of the dw660 shoe mounting clamp. I wanna see if it'll fit my hf cutout tool. The clamping hole needs to be about 1.75" Can you make that happen?
