The acrylic is so tight that I have to use a hammer and a punch to slide it into position, but not so tight as to cause any deformation. It really is a perfect fit. The screws were out of a desk that I was going to throw away, but I usually get hardware like this from the "As Is" section at IKEA. They have a huge bin of all sorts of fasteners and slide rails from various furniture and they sell it by the bag full for like $2 - $5.

Today I got a charge in my credit card for shipping. So everything worked out great. Updated the first post with time line. :D

Does Misumi sell aluminum spacers? I can't seem to find them. I'm looking for the M5 bolt spacers that the Shapeoko uses. I was hoping I could just get a couple a packs in various lengths (6mm, 10mm, 25mm, etc)

I'm not sure, will this help you to find them?

I didn't look closely at it, but there is a section for "Distance Spacers" that might fit the bill.

Anybody know how long it takes for the shipping charges to show up on your CC? I ordered my parts on the 24th, they shipped on the 28th, according to UPS tracking they were successfully delivered today (I'm at work, so I'll confirm when I get home), but my CC still has not been charged. I'm just really curious as to what this ended up costing me...

Mine was charged about a week after I had actually received the items. All of mine was in one small box (although it was kind of heavy) and shipping only ran me about $12 if I recall.

Mine hit my account almost a week after the stuff arrived. Shipping I think was $21 for around 30 pounds in 2 boxes.

Seems I'm missing a piece of 4040 (misumi site shows it as having been part of the same shipment). Carey, if you're still keeping up with this thread, what's my best option here? Hate to pay for shipping a 2nd time (though I'm fully cognizant that I just got $150 of extrusion for free).
