The new end plates and mount plates will be available from Inventables presently.

I added a Sources section to the Upgrade Overview page: http://www.shapeoko.com/wiki/index.php/ ... ew#Sources

and I've added a note about plates.

A month since Edward's last update. Any word on availability on the new plates? I'm in a holding pattern on ordering longer rails since I'm wanting to move to open ended feet and a double X rail all at once...

I suspect things are in the works.

If you go to Inventables.com and search for ``ShapeOko'', there're lots of missing images, and they now have entries for the end and motor mount plates, w/ an option to subscribe to be notified via e-mail:

Agreed, and I'm already subscribed for updates....I get antsy when I have money in hand ready to buy and I'm waiting for the button to light up.

Its burning a hole in my pocket! I just know that as soon as I lose my patience and buy some plates to make my own, they'll become available.

You can always make some end plates for temporary use, and replace them later. The nice thing about the end plates is that removing them does not involve disassembly of other parts. There's a thread on here (sorry I can't post a link right now) where someone shows how they drilled out end plates from some aluminum blanks.

I noticed the interest pages for the end plate and motor plates were removed from the inventables web site yesterday. I hope this doesn't mean they are no longer planning on selling them.

I was wondering the same thing. Those pages on inventables do not exist anymore :(
