If you can find a slab of aluminum that size w/ a guaranteed flatness spec, let us know your source.

Does it come with a set of clamps like the first one did?

Edit* I hope so, just purchased the table. Perfect timing around tax season. I'll rest a little bit easier when laser engraving that the garage won't burn down now.

Additionally, while not a limitless supply, I've bought much bigger pieces of tooling plate (still with the plastic protective film on it) as scrap at my local metal supplier for $2/lb.

So, this is an aluminum table?

It doesn't say on the website. Someone should probably ask them to clarify that.

Does Carbide 3D give a flatness spec on their website? I didn't see any listed

MIC6 would be a great for this. Nice and flat!
Maximum deviation from flat:
Specified plate thickness maximum variation:
3/4” and over: .005” / 19mm and over: .127mm
1/4” to 5/8”: .015” / 6mm and over: .381mm

Not sure of the cost but I know MIC6 aluminum comes in 4'x8'x3/4" thick plates. All ready for your expanded shapeoko!

**update** Just looked up the cost for 4'x8'x3/4" = $1560.21. But you can also go bigger and get a 5'x12'x3/4" piece for $3220.33 if you need it  Just for reference a 2' x 2' x 1/2" peice would be $144.55 from this same supplier

Emailed them about that missing info yesterday. Hopefully it's fixed soon. :)
