Shapeoko 3 XXL stops mid job while cutting

Post by Flubadub » Fri Oct 13, 2017 7:46 pm

I have been making cutting boards for my real estate sales cousin. I have made 11 of 12. Of course on number 12 the machine just stopped while carving the profile of the board. GRBL controller error. I closed Carbide motion, set up the job again it ran for a while and stopped again (about pass 5 of a 7 pass cut through with tabs).

I have been using my machine for months without a problem, this is the first time I have ever received and error. I am not using GRBL 1.1.

I have checked all the cables to make sure nothing has come loose.

Any ideas???

Most likely this is EMI --- since it just showed up after a long period of using the machine, it's most likely caused by worn brushes on the trim router --- you'll need to replace them.

If that doesn't address it, check at: https://www.shapeoko.com/wiki/index.php ... mendations
