New Home Page

Post by edwardrford » Thu Mar 13, 2014 12:54 am

All,

I pushed a slightly redesigned 'new' homepage today. I'm pretty keen on the layout, but have a few issues with mobile formatting.

If anyone is better than me (very probable) at html/css stuff, please have a look and let me know what I need to do to prevent the huge gap between the full width image at the top of the page and the div immediately below it (buy at inventables, as seen on...)

Otherwise, I think it's great. I have links and short descriptions to the github repo, forum and wiki at the bottom, along with a link to a new (and sort of bare) software overview page.

As always, any/all feedback is welcome!

My one suggestion would be to make the bold words (and matching images) into links to the matching wiki pages:

http://www.shapeoko.com/wiki/index.php/G-Code
http://www.shapeoko.com/wiki/index.php/Inkscape
http://www.shapeoko.com/wiki/index.php/MakerCAM --- though I'd love to see a similar tool which doesn't rely on a closed-source tool (Flash)
