Spindle options we may have missed?

Spindle options we may have missed?

Thought of two other possible sources for spindles:

- Fein — they actually sell motor units, intended for specialized uses: http://www.feinus.com/en_us/specials/built-on-motors/
- Festool — pricey, but might be an option if one already has one. Surprised they don’t have a drywall cut out tool.

There's also Pferd.

They also (definitely) sell flexible shafts to mate with their spindles, unlike Kress. ;)

Haven't gotten pricing yet, but not expecting them to be cheap.

For those in the UK this might be worth a look:

Rutlands seem to source a lot of their products from the US, so it may be available there, and if so would probably be a lot cheaper. I'm afraid I have no personal experience of them, but stuff from Rutlands tends to be of good quality.

105mm in diameter and likely tending towards too heavy, but for folks w/ a significantly upgraded machine, could be a good option.

Looks interesting, but they don't list the weight anywhere. :(

It's possible that router is too heavy for the S3.

An uncorroborated review puts it at 4.5Kg, about on a par with a chinese 2.2Kw spindle.
