Did I destroy my spindle?

Post by kidkissinger » Sat Mar 26, 2016 11:35 pm

Running a 300w Quiet Cut Spindle with speed controller.

Activated it while top of spindle was jammed against the frame of the machine, not allowing it to turn.

Now the spindle will not run at all.

It also appears that the LEDs on the speed control board aren't lighting.

Can anyone give me some advice?

Ouch, that sounds way less than good.

As a thought, if no-one else has suggestions, contact Carbide3D directly to see if they can help. :)

You may have 'only' fried the speed controller...
If you connect the 48V power dirctly to the spindle, does it run then?
Weird guy...
