Could anyone point me to a low RPM spindle that would fit my Shapeoko 3? I've done some looking but can only find high rpm routers and spindles. I'm going to machine some machineable ceramic & I'm sure the high rpm will kill tooling quick. I'm thinking in the 1000-8000 or so range.
Thanks!
Mike

Re: Low RPM Spindle?
The only things which get down that low are the DC spindles.
List of options at: https://www.shapeoko.com/wiki/index.php/Spindle_Options
and the Kress 1050 FME-1 has a bottom-end speed of ~5,000 RPM (and is also listed there).
Ugra has spindles which will go that low in speed, but I think they're all 3-phase / 220V --- if that's an option: http://ugracnc.com/index.php/online-sto ... kw-220-v-s

Thanks for pointing me to that list! The inventables spindle looks promising. I like the Ugracnc spindles, they would run off of a VFD nicely, although they are more pricey.
