Once I finally got my Shapeoko 3 assembled and started using it, and it became abundantly clear that I was going to need to build an enclosure for both dust collection and noise. I am on a budget and I am in military, on-base housing, so space is limited. I hit the internet thinking I would find tons of examples and/or ideas to get my project started. Unfortunately that wasn’t the case. This forum, Pinterest, and the internet didn’t have many examples. So I attached pictures of this weekends CNC router enclosure project. A few features to take note of: LED lights inside the box for lighting, high powered computer fans for airflow, vacuum attachment in the rear for my dust collector, the 32” external monitor for programming, and power outlets to run it all. There are a lot of things I learned building this and a few modifications I wish I had done. Feel free to ask questions and post pics of your enclosure for others to reference.
