Great!!! This is on my short list -o- stuff I want to do with mine too.
There have been several conversations about the JTechs. Seems to be working well, and on white paper no less. Are you seeing a clean cut on all sides? I understood the 445 diodes to have an oval beam, so I was wondering if it was enough to make for problems or if it turned out clean. Also (and forgive the question), but you are wearing eye protection yes?
I look forward to seeing how far you can push it. I am curious how deep you will be able to cut, and with what. Please keep some updates coming.

I am curious if you could cut through 1/4in. black foamcore. I think it would be a sweet way to cut out pieces for foamie R/C planes.

Sorry, one more... Will you be using any sort of air assist?

This should answer question about cutting 3 mm depron
or at least bottom of a meat pack
cut is NOT exactly square (90 deg) don't know why (perhaps focus off)

yes there is a screwy square cut outside the star

Very cool! So it cuts 3mm at a pretty good clip, so 1/4 in. is 6.35 mm, so from what you can see up close in your cut there, would you think you could slow down the feed rate and get the extra depth, or would it probably melt the foam?
