Anyone know how to get my laser to stop taking two passes per cut? For some reason it always takes two passes.

i had that too, it was somehow related to my imported vector path .

try drawing a shape within coreldraw and run the laser. If it does 1 pass, it must be a similar problem

Ok tried just a circle and still did 2 passes. Any other ideas?

Also what is a good acrylic setting? I tried 20mm at 15amp and it took both passes to cut through. Sides are awesome though.

Defy,

This is a long shot but in the the option menu where you can choose the engraving and cutting data type, choose wmf for both. I'm not in front of the computer so I forgot which one I used. I think it was wmf. Anyway when I chose one of the other data types, the laser started to cut two passes so I changed it back.

I have been using 4mm/sec @ 10ma with air assist making one pass.

Thanks i'll try that. I have been cutting wood at 10mm and 15ma so i thought i could speed it up for acrylic. Is thay for 1/4 or 1/8?

does it show adialog box inbetween both passes, or does it just continue automatically with the second pass?

It cuts like 3/4s then goes the other way 100% the finishes the last 1/4 if that makes any sense. I dont have time right now but later this week i'll get a video up.

My current settings anything i should check/uncheck?
