I had originally did the image conversion a couple of years ago so I can cut the path on the CNC router. I did a much larger one on pine using a really tiny end mill. I forgot what I used, probably illustrator or Inkscape. All I did today was find the vector image on the Hard drive and imported into coreldraw. Resized and send to laser cutter.

Oh the vector file wasn't one continuous line it's made up of many single horizontal vector lines. For some reason the laser had cut it as one continuous line.

Thank you. I make some things way harder than they are, over think.

World map image engraving done as a vector cut instead of raster. 30mm/sec speed. Set the height so the laser is focused as small as possible. Almost looks like ink printing. Took less than 5minutes to do. Birch ply.

Some minor laser mods.

Installed 12volt led strip lighting purchased from eBay for few dollars. New water pump that my brother gave me and 5 gallon bucket of water. Also installed the lightobjects water flow sensor. Powered by spare 12volt supply I had laying around. I put it inside the case next to the laser supply.
