Very cool. :)

Reading through your build log now, there's a mention of not yet having a good metal cutting saw.

For general thoughts/recommendations, how about something like this?

https://www.axminster.co.uk/axminster-m ... saw-505214

I bought one of those a while back, and it's my second most favorite tool (after my S3). Turns out its
super useful for cutting just about anything that fits (eg wood, steel, alu, etc). Oh, and even coconuts
can be halved using it with appropriate care taken. Just saying. ;)

Thanks for that link!

I actually used to have a small lathe from Axminster. But I sold it because I found a larger CNC one ;-)

In the mean time the machine is already moving. Video coming hopefully next week.

Hi all,
just wanted to let you know that this project is officially finished, and I just launched a dedicated LAYZOR website.

For those that don’t know, the LAYZOR is a complete rebuild of a K40, but I recommend you read the full story on my blogpost:
https://www.manmademayhem.com/?p=3440
and the website itself:
