Will linuxCNC work with the gshield + Arduino?

Long answer: the PC running LinuxCNC serves the same function as the Arduino running GRBL -- it generates step and direction signals for the stepper motor drivers. You can not use the Arduino and the PC with LinuxCNC at the same time. The gShield has motor drivers, which take the step and direction signals and control the current through the two coils of each stepper motors. You could use it with LinuxCNC, if you hooked it up correctly to the parallel port. It's actually not that difficult, if you know what you're doing. It's easier if you have a parallel port breakout board, but even that is not needed (if you don't mind the good chance of damaging the PC if something really bad happens to the gShield).
