Homing issue

Post by MTech » Tue Aug 26, 2014 7:37 pm

Hi,

Not sure if I post this, the right place....

I have just finishen installing limit/homing switches on my shapeoko2 with tinyg.
The problem starts when I in JCNC home all the axis. After that I can't start a program before I jog one of the axis.
Why does this occur?

By the way, the machine backs off the switches when homing. So no switches is activated when I try to start a program.

I'm not sure what commands jCNC is issuing, but if you can send individual Gcode commands directly to the board after homing it should work. Sounds like homing is set up correctly. You can also use Coolterm as a command line to diagnose things. There's nothing between it and the board. Issue a G28.s x0 y0 z0 then try a move once it's done.
