it took me a while to get my old tinyG up to date. i had to install the boot loader and newer firmware but the beast is alive. ran a few jobs and haven't had the problems i was trying to get away from with my grbl based board loosing connection. so far so good.

What are you using as a gcode sender for TinyG?

This is something I'll need to tackle soon too (with G2 though, if it makes a difference)... :)

I'm using chilipepper. It's one of the reasons I switched. It's an open source sender made in java script so it runs threw a chrome browser. And you can download it and run it off line too. It's getting more and more powerful by the month. A lot of people working together on it and colaberating, it's pretty awesome. You can even run it from a raspberry pie too.

Ahhh, thanks. Does it still require a person to login with a Google ID in order to use it?

That's an absolute show stopper for me, so hoping that's been fixed. :)

Hmmm, you do mention offline use, so guessing it might be workable now.

Did you have any trouble getting it set up? I have had two boards sent to me and still having big issues...

Has it still been running without disconnections? is that a watercooled spindle in the pic? I've still got a Makita router, I'm not sure if it is the culprit or not...

I'm tossing up the TinyG, PlanetCNC controller, or going all out and getting a Gecko540

Hello,

Just a quick post to mention that I'm writing an app (named Goko) to send/manage GCode that supports TinyG (My shapeoko use TinyG using the 4th axis as a rotary axis).
A downloadable version (v0.0.2) is available here : http://goko.fr/

I never tried with G2 though

A new version is almost ready and will include GCode modification, auto leveler and few more stuff.

It's free and open source. I'm writing it for the fun :)
