Feed hold & Resume button

Post by plastik » Mon Apr 18, 2016 9:52 am

Does anyone knows if it is possible to wire buttons for feed hold and resume?
After some searches I could not find any information on that.

Usually these show up on pendants: http://www.shapeoko.com/wiki/index.php/Pendant and the word feed appears at least once on that page. (but I was assuming Arduino / Grbl, as does most of that page)

There are no physical I/Os on tinyG for hold and resume, just serial messages.
If you are a Chilipeppr user, there are widgets to interface pendants.

Ok, thanks for your responses.
I will consider the idea of pendants.

Hi @plastik, i've a CNC Shield by Protoneer + Arduino Uno + 4 A4988 Stepstick and my SO2 work perfectly ! And with CNC Shield i can directly wiring the hold, resume, abort switch without problem !
