Can you short describe the buttons: 'Set PC' and 'Goto PC'? :?:

Yes as in with software debugger is the program counter, is where the machine/processor/device will execute next or is currently executing and will be updated to the next pc once the machine/processor/device return in this case Grbl returns 'ok" from executing the instruction. If you hit stop where the PC is at will be the next line to be streamed/executed either by the Run (will continue until finish, break-point or you hit stop) or step (will only execute next PC).

Set PC allows you so set the current Program counter to an arbitrary location, for example you just wanted to repeat the last portion or move forward and jump sections of the program, you can set the PC where you want to start.

Got to PC basically take you where the current program counter is at. For example you have a program file that is 1000ths of line long, you where running and stopped some place in the middle and scrolled back and forth... now to find where the current PC is at could be hard, Goto PC will takes you there.

Also suppose the program is running but you have scrolled back and the screen is not auto scrolling (depending on the auto-scroll method you sleeted) but still running, and you want to see where the PC is currently executing, again Goto PC will take you there and re-enable auto scrolling if that auto scroll method is selected.

I'll share a mount design if someone can tell me in idiots terms what I need to do to get the Python script (either) working on a Windows 7 machine. I have WinPython installed, OpenCV2 unpacked, I see others. I think I just need to know how to add dependencies to Python on my machine. I'm running the code with the 'Spyder' program.

Failing that, I'll scour the Google tomorrow.

This mount bolts in between the M5's of the bottom of the Makerslide of the Z Axis. It comes out and perfectly fits the eBay Boroscope. It's not in the way of the wheels or a big router like a DW660.

Please send the error message, my Problems on Windows7 was mostly to use wrong Versions from Winpython, opencv and wxwindows.

Thanks, I'm getting 'ImportError: No module named wx'. When I run the first camera only script I get the same error but with cv. I just don't think I have something copied correctly somewhere, or mapped properly. I'm using WinPython 2.7.3.3.

you need wxpython.

Please try to install this package:

And you need OpenCV too. Here are some instructions, except that the link he gives for OpenCV is for an older version; you actually want to go here and pick the most recent version (currently 2.4.3 or 2.4.4 beta).

Thanks Xpix and CV. Wow, what a cluster to get this all installed. I'm remoted into my workbench PC from work, will have to wait until tonight to plug it in and see if I can get the USB camera to pop up.

In Ubuntu 12.04 is just:
a) python is pre-installed
b) just use apt or the ui package installer...

Code: Select all

sudo apt-get install python-wxgtk2.8 python-opencv python-numpy
Yes in Windows is a little more tricky to get OpenCV installed, but wxPython is just the single install xpix mention above (repeat link below). Also for OpenCV to work on windows at the moment you need to have python 32bit even in a Windows 7 64... just before you run into that issue if you have python 7.2 64bit
