End Mills for PCB

Post by scott216 » Sat Jun 21, 2014 1:35 am

I just got an email from Precise Bits announcing a newly designed PCB Isolation bit: http://www.precisebits.com/products/car ... ub_125.asp.
They are pretty expensive, between $18-20. I might give one a try, but I need to get better at not breaking bits. I broke two on my last PCB: first one I set the depth to deep (0.040" instead of 0.004") and another I accidentally hit with a toothbrush as I was cleaning off the PCB:( I'm using 0.3 mm end mills which are working pretty well for me. Good thing I brought 10 of them.
