Dan211 wrote:Hello, I am new to CNC machining and i have bought a Shapoko 2, my plan is to soon etch pcbs using it. I am trying to figure out how to use this autoleveler with a GRBL controlled machine and I am having problems. So when I try to do a test probe using the chilipeppr.com/grbl autoleveller my machine moves and when I connect a wire from pin 11 (z limit) to ground grbl just locks up and says "ALARM: Hard/Soft Limit [Reset to continue]". I have to manually send $X to it for it to reset, the data is also not collected and the probing is not continued after I reset. Am I doing something wrong or is the problem somewhere else? Thanks for your help in advance.
Pin D11 is the wrong pin for probing, you should be using pin A5.

Thanks. It turns out I was using an outdated source for the pinout, it works perfectly now. I hope to make some pcbs soon :D, Also anyone know where would I be able to put suggestions for chillipeppr because I have a few ideas to improve the workspace if they want to hear them.

I would say the best spot is on the ChiliPeppr Google+ Community page because it can create discussion. However, if you want to file bugs you can do it on the Github page, but I think that Google+ is a better spot these days.

ChiliPeppr Google+ Community

Google Groups

Github Issues (No Grbl one yet)

BTW, you can always fork a workspace and create your own to do modifications. Then post to the Google+ community and I can get changes into the main workspace for you if people like the changes. I agree there's lots of cool things that could be done. Somebody created an mjpeg streaming viewer the other day by forking the webcam WebRTC widget so I'm going to add that to the main workspace. There's also a mobile version of the Grbl workspace that Dat Chu created so you can watch over your ChiliPeppr job from your phone that I'm going to post soon to the main workspace list.
