error 5 serial port resource

Post by JOJOVID » Sat Oct 12, 2019 3:47 pm

I’m getting an error 5 serial port resource? I’ve tried to carve files from both 9.5 and 10 with the same results. When I set the xyz (used the probe and paper trick ) I get the same results. It starts trying to carve starting on the Z 0 point. I shut down right away. Don’t know what to do? Anyone know what’s going on?

Thanks, been out of business for 2 weeks trying to fix this. I heard also that it could be the USB cable, is that just a printer cable?

Yes, the USB cable is an ordinary one, USB A--B as one would use for a printer.

Usually we provide a very good quality one with ferrite beads:

Well after giving it 2 weeks to rest up, the machine is working great again. Thanks for your help.
