Carbide Motion with Shapeoko v2

Post by scott216 » Wed Oct 16, 2019 1:35 am

I've have a Shapeoko v2 with GRBL 0.9i firmware. I'd like to try Carbide Motion v4 (I've been using bCNC). If I upgrade GRBL to ver 1.1, can I use Carbide Motion v4? I use Fusion 360 for CAD and CAM. Should I use the Carbide 3D post processor?

As the name implies, Carbide Motion is limited to machines sold by Carbide 3D.

The Shapeoko 2 was sold by Inventables --- it's not possible to use CM with an SO2.

You can still use the Carbide 3D Post Processor --- it, or one for Grbl, or LinuxCNC, or Mach3 should work.
