GRBL settings calculator - currently available?

Post by Yanga » Thu Aug 04, 2016 6:46 pm

Hello,
I'm trying to get a GRBL settings calculator working but I'm not doing so well.
I've downloaded the zip file from https://github.com/AtomSoftTech/GRBLCalc and have tried to run it in java. I've unzipped the package and moved to the GRBLCalc-master\GRBLCalc-master\dist directory in the Win10 CMD terminal; I issue the command java -jar "GRBL_Calc.jar" and receive:
Error: Could not find or load main class GRBLCalc.mainfrm
Does anyone have experience with this calculator and could shed some light on this issue?

Does anyone have a live link to Dr. Rob's GRBL_calc as the often quoted URL http://homepage.ntlworld.com/r.j.noble/ ... /grblcalc/ no longer works?

I have a RPi3+ProtoneerV2.51_CNC_shield+4xPololuDRV8825; the motors are responding to jogging within bCNC and I am keen to get some calibration underway.

Your help is much appreciated.

Here's a archive.org of http://homepage.ntlworld.com/r.j.noble/ ... /grblcalc/. It appears to work in browser for me.

Note that it doesn't work well for calculating steps/mm on GT2 machines because it will only take inches for the belt pitch setting (and when calculating steps/mm, you really want it to be exact).

Many thanks for the archive page for Dr Rob's Grbl calculator. Dr Rob generously included all of the calculation within the html file, rather than hiding it in another file, so maybe I can modify the code for GT2 belts, and of course share it.
