Generally what bit do these engravers use? Changing out the bit is much much easier than unmounting a spindle and mounting another spindle ...

These engravers don't use a rotational bit. It is a hardened point that vibrates in and out very fast.
Shapeoko 2 Serial #7341. Relatively stock. Custom sound/dust enclosure. 24V 15 amp power supply.

Would you be willing to formally put this onto a page on the wiki?

I added a link back to this thread: http://www.shapeoko.com/wiki/index.php/ ... Walt_DW660 but if you wanted, you could easily:

- change the forum link to a footnote and add an internal link to a new page, [[Engraving Tools]]
- click on the link and okay the creation of a new page
- upload the images and write up the details of sourcing and mounting the engraving, including its specs. and the feeds-and-speeds which you used.

If you don't want to trouble doing that, do you mind if I do so?
