Simple Puzzle Cube

Attention ! Christmas time's coming soon.
Are you also looking for some little gift for your family and friends ?
Maybe a simple puzzle cube isn't a bad idea. There are 2 possibilities for using.

1. The cube itself is the gift.

2. You use the cube as wrapping for the diamond for your wife :)
(or as wrapping for some new bits for your woodworking friend)

I've made the DXF drawing for 8mm, but you can scale it to the size you need. The pics are showing a 10mm example. To be sure that all parts are fitting, select the function 'Corner overcut' in your CAM program. (pic3)

The DXF file will be sent in the next post.

Very nice! Everything snapped together quite well, I converted the vector to a profile toolpath that cut the outside of the edge.

Unfortunately I didn't consider the drawing scale... So there is a bit of overhang as a result, 1/4" birch material, milled with a 1/16" endmill.

Thanks.
Here's another one. You can mix the parts from both cubes to make it a little bit more difficult. :)

Somewhere, I have a set of 4 different cubes that can be assembled separately or together as a larger cube.
I wish I had any idea where they were...

Wonder if it would be interesting to generate these programmatically? Kind of like the tabbed box makers do:
:D
