Christmas Wreath

Post by fasteddy » Wed Dec 21, 2016 3:48 pm

I finally got around to completing the Christmas Wreath project from Vectric.

Pine, 1/4" roughing, 1/8" BN finishing at 7.5% stepover.
Total machining time with bit changes approx. 9 hrs for the wreath and 3 hrs for the bow.
Then minor sanding (defuzzing in some spots, but at 7.5% stepover there was very little to do), stained the bow, poly, paint, poly, glaze (Minwax natural pine), poly. Gave it as a gift to my grandmother.

Outstanding work! If you want to share the files I would try to make one for myself.

If you follow the link in my first post, the project files are freely available. However, you must have a Vectric software for it to work.

Yeah, I downloaded it thinking it should work with V Carve pro as well but it won't. Strange, the files should be able to be formatted so that it would work I would think.
