Anybody have any experience with these? Price is right, not expecting the highest quality but if it works I'd be game.

Not sure if you are considering other options, but I use an XBOX 360 controller. Mach3 has various pluginsincluding the 360 and other joysticks.

I definitely am, but I don't trust myself not having labeled buttons. 3 hours into a cut...what did right trigger do? *gantry crashes and cuts through the entire workpiece*deejayspinz wrote:Not sure if you are considering other options, but I use an XBOX 360 controller. Re: Low Cost Mach3 Pendants?
I have been eyeing some of the really cheap versions on eBay like this one:

I don't know if I would trust a wireless connection. I know they are paired and encrypted or whatever but it would still worry me with all the electrical interference I have in my shop.
Personally I am waiting for the Jog it open source pendant to make it through its kickstarter rewards and start selling them on their website.

I use the contour shuttle express and shuttle pro on my machines. I can edit all the buttons in mach3 and it works great, no delays.

I've actually been testing out an arduino over modbus. So far so good but I haven't implemented pendant style controls yet, only outputs, i.e. vac relay and a signal light for tool change so I can see it from across the room. Next up is auto-zero on Z, then pendant controls. It takes a little bit to set up but I had a few arduinos around.

I found this link for an iOS app: link. It costs $10.
