Mach3 5.5.2.1

In 5.5.2.1 of the Mach3 manual, on page 5-20 top of the page it says "Press and hold the curser Up key on your keyboard" to test the machine axis.
First do they mean the up arrow key?
Second nothing happens when I do so.

Yes, in Mach3 you use the arrow and pageup/pagedown keys to jog the machine (Up=Y+ , Down=Y- , Right=X+ , Left=X- , PageUp=Z+ , PageDown=Z-). Make sure that the red reset button in the bottom left of the screen isn't flashing.
