Hobby or machinist?
So how many people in here are machinists or just learning with there shapeoko. I am a machinist with 10+ years exp. can't wait till mine is delivered in 12 hrs or so.

Hobbyist, w/ 3 yrs. of high school shop where one of the tests was free-hand grinding a screwdriver --- wish I still had it.

Hobbyist, I play at wood working (making big pieces of wood into small pieces of wood) LOL, work full time as a Systems Admin for the local Government. Looking forward to understanding CAD

Hobbyist, network admin, no real woodworking experience at all.

I'm another hobbyist by night, software developer by day. Other hobbies include embedded electronics, woodworking and antique woodworking machine restoration.
