Laminated wood

Post by TomO » Thu Apr 14, 2016 1:48 pm

I just bought some grey laminate to make some knife scales.

The eBay seller suggested cutting the blanks on a diagonal to get the desired grain pattern. This is the look in going for:

Has anyone worked with this type laminate? Any suggestions?

Haven't worked w/ it, but curious as to where you're getting this --- one supplier I know of had their factory burn down and chose not to rebuild, so supplies for this sort of stuff, esp. in larger sizes, is limited.

We do have one vendor listed on the wiki: http://webbwood.com/ --- I'd love to have a thorough listing of places making this stuff.
