First, select all the solid regions: Path: Union

Then select all the negative spaces: repeat Path: Union, set colour to white, bring to front, select all, Path: Difference

I'll give that a try. The file you sent back to me, the "o" was corrected but now the top part of the "B" is corrupt. I'll give this a try when I return home next week. Thank you so much for your time and help.

WillAdams- I am trying F-engrave or F-vcarve as you suggested. I imported my file into it by opening it in Microsoft Paint then saving it as a Bitmap file. It worked. My question is when I save it in F-vcarve it saves it as a .cng file. Will Carbide Motion read that is is there another step I need to go through?

Not familiar w/ F-Vcarve.

When I use F-Engrave, it saves as a gcode file — check the file in a text editor?

Will - I meant F-Engrave. I set up a test piece. When I save it to the desktop, it has a file extension of .cng. I opened it with WordPad and it appears to be Gcode. But when I try to run it through Carbide Motion, I get an error that says " Error line 76 multiple M codes". I looked and there is only one line that has any M codes (It is not line 76 if I just physically count them) but I find nothing else. I have included below, the first part of the Gcode where this is located. If I delete it in WordPad, will it save it in the original .ncg? And if so, which do I delete and which do I keep M5, M9, or M2 ??????

Did you use a recent version of F-Engrave and configure it for Grbl?

It is F-engrave 150 which seemed to be the current one on their site. I do not know how to configure it for GRBL. When I look in "Settings" I do see that it has M5 M9 M2 as the Gcode Postscript

Look it up on the CAM page: http://www.shapeoko.com/wiki/index.php/CAM

Go to: http://www.shapeoko.com/wiki/index.php/ ... _with_GRBL
Select the “Disable Variables” check box in the F-Engrave Settings window
un-select the “Enable Arc Fitting” check box in the F-Engrave Settings window
Use F-Engrave version 1.34 or higher. 1.49 adds a new option to not emit comments which will help to make files fit w/in Grbl's line limit.[2]
