MakerCAM not calculating some paths

Post by CycloRetro » Tue Sep 15, 2015 3:28 am

Hi All, please help.

Sometimes when I import a svg file into MakerCAM and go to calculate all, MakerCAM doesn't create a toolpath for one or two of the lines. The small green path direction arrows are not there, and when I export the G Code and import into Mach3 the path is not there also.

Sometimes when I import the svg file again into MakerCAM and calculate all again, a different set of lines are missed. How can I fix this, or is there something I'm doing wrong?

MakerCAM makes up for its ease of use w/ problems like that.

Sometimes it's that the path is too narrow for the bit, or not closed.

I'll sometimes draw out the cutting geometry and use follow path.
