Post by lioramsalem » Fri Feb 13, 2015 5:12 pm

I'm right before buying a g540 for my Shapeoko2 (and future mill conversion)
Here are the available enclosures I found:

1. Automation technology g540 enclosure (89$) http://www.automationtechnologiesinc.co ... wer-outlet
Comes pre-cut and with power socket/switch/estop.

2. Homann Design: http://www.homanndesigns.com/store/inde ... ucts_id=93

3. Hammond 1402KV (~60$) http://www.hammondmfg.com/dwg10.htm

If you have other alternatives update the thread...

I bought the case linked below off of Amazon ($22). I am very impressed with the construction and quality of the box, it is 1/8 thick at least, with molded in inserts that the cover screws thread into. I used the cover that was already installed on the power supply, and cut it to fit into the enclosure for the fan mount and the ventilation port on the sides. I used the meanwell 48V power supply for my build. It was pretty quick and easy, especially if you already have a cnc to cut the profiles on the lid.
